I have heard the term “self-love” and “self-care” thrown around quite frequently, but what does it mean? How do you practice it?
Self-love or Self-care whichever you prefer, is taking the time to shower yourself with positive vibes and letting yourself know that you matter. With life being so fast paced, instantaneous, and frankly quite demanding. It is enough to wear out even the strongest of persons!
Bio-One is on duty 24/7 and sometimes we barely have time for a lunch break before we are called off to the next job. At times, we get caught up helping others and making sure that the client is happy, that sometimes “we”, “ourself” gets lost in the chaos. So, by the end of the day, we want to shower and just go to bed. Our batteries have become drained and coffee has become our best friend for those early morning calls.
Bio-One loves being able to help others and knowing that we are providing a service that has helped many, many people through some of the darkest moments of their lives. We feel a deep sense of honor and dedication to each client. But, sometimes we too forget to recharge our batteries. This can happen to literally anyone! We expend ourselves in this fast-paced World to deliver exceptional results and making sure the client is satisfied. We want to be the best for our clients, so making conscious efforts to practice self-love is a must! If you want to be the best, you must be your best! This can only be accomplished by taking the time to help yourself.
Now, don’t think taking a minute for yourself is selfish, it’s not! It is essential for your everyday health physically and mentally. You are only human and only ONE person. Taking the time to recharge, relax, and embrace the little breathtaking moments in life.
So, how do can you practice self-love?
This can come in many forms, depends on what brings you happiness. Somedays, curling up on the couch, sipping hot tea, and reading a mystery novel is what I consider self-love. My Mother finds baking homemade pies, desserts, and pastries relaxing. The boss man likes to spend with his family boating on the open ocean. Self-love can come in many forms. Whether it’s a quick minute enjoying a hot coffee, hour long massage, walking through your local park, or dinner with friends. That self-care time is yours to enjoy and relish in. Breath in every moment and live. So, how can you practice self-love today?
